This first yoga land of democracy in the history of the world has seen many lands of uplift and collapse. There have been many development programs. But there is little attention in the field of higher education, especially the upliftment of women and their education initiation. Swami Vivekananda has said,

"The creation of the nation is incomplete without the upliftment of women, just as the fanfare cannot fly with the help of a feather. Similarly, it is not possible for women to uplift."

The public representatives, social reformers and people of this region started a struggle with the demand of establishing a women's college effectively in 1995, giving respect to this spirit of Swamiji. The Government of Uttar Pradesh announced the establishment of the State Women's College through its order number UO 72-35-5-96 dated 21-01-97, honoring the hope and aspirations of the region, and the Purvanchal Development Fund was approved by Rs 1 to 74-74 lakhs and completed construction work by Uttar Pradesh Social Welfare Construction Corporation Ltd. In the initial session 2001-2002 of this college, 85 students were given admission as per the instructions of Deendayal Upadhyay Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur.
